What We are Looking For
We are looking for a motivated medical office receptionist/office assistant to work with the office manager to assist in a variety of administrative tasks in a small but growing pediatric medical office. Responsible for interacting with guests in a healthcare setting and managing administrative tasks for the medical team. The duties of the position include scheduling patient appointments according to doctor availability, helping process and ensure intake forms of new patients are received, and processing payments after treatment. To include other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should have:
Good communication skills and ability to converse clearly over the telephone and in person.
Organization and time management skills and ability to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties.
Technological skills, such as using word processing and spreadsheet programs to track data.
If you have previous experience in processing prior otherizations for a medical office, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful medical office receptionist/office assistant will have a desire to grow with a small business and be willing to learn and work hard.
Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
Interacting with guests in a healthcare setting.
Managing administrative tasks for the medical team.
Scheduling patient appointments according to doctor availability.
Explaining intake forms to new patients.
Processing payments after treatment.
Requirements
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
Have some office clerical or assistant experience.
Familiarity with emails and scheduling tools.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 per hour
